Guangzhou Metro 2018

To date, there are 14 lines operating in Guangzhou Metro Line. This include a length of ‎391.8 km (243.5 mi). Guangzhou Metro has
a total of 232 stations and it's the sixth busiest metro line in the world!

All the stations can be identified according to the line number. Most of the signage are translated into English and at some station there are some helpful English speaking staff. So communication is flawless!

Most of Guangzhou Wholesale Market are located near a Metro Station. Airport in Baiyun can be easily reach in 1 hour from Guanzghou City Centre by Metro. The nearby city namely Foshan (furniture market) can be reached using Line 1

The best way is to use the Yang Cheng Tong card. Its really convenient and you can enjoy discount too!

Happy exploring!

Guangzhou - Shenzhen

From Guangzhou to Shenzhen takes about an hour to arrive. You can board the train at both Guangzhou Railway Station and Guangzhou East Railway Station . Each day, there are 27 bullet trains starting from Guangzhou Railway Station to go to Shenzhen.

My chinese Muslim friends. On the left is Daud from Malaysia and on the right is Ameen from Kunming

Best alternative

The train frequency from Guangzhou to Shenzhen via Guangzhou East Railway Station outnumber the ones from Guangzhou Railway Station. At an interval of 10 to 20 minutes, there are 89 bullet trains starting from Guangzhou East Railway Station to go to Shenzhen each day. The first run is at 05:35 and the last run is at 22:50. The whole trip takes about 52 minutes. The ticket cost is around CNY100 for first-class soft seat and CNY95 for second-class soft seat. The trains pass Shilong, Dongguan and Zhangmutou.

The wall socket is different from what we use in Malaysia.Refer the image below

Sahabah in Guangzhou China

may Allah guide us to be among their good followers..........

Whilst an Islamic state was founded by Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, China was enduring a period of unification and defense.  Early Chinese annals mentioned Muslim Arabs and called their kingdom al-Medina (of Arabia).  Islam in Chinese is called “Yisilan Jiao” (meaning “Pure Religion”).  A Chinese official once described Mecca as being the birthplace of Buddha Ma-hia-wu (i.e. Prophet Muhammad).

There are several historical versions relating to the advent of Islam in China.  Some records claim Muslims first arrived in China in two groups within as many months from Abyssinia (Ethiopia).
Ethiopia was the land where some early Muslims first fled in fear from the persecution of the Quraysh tribe in Mecca.  Among that group of refugees were one of Prophet Muhammad’s daughters Ruqayya, her husband Uthman ibn Affan, Sad Ibn Abi Waqqas and many other prominent Companions who migrated on the advice of the Prophet.  They were successfully granted political asylum by the Abyssinian  King Atsmaha Negus in the city of Axum (c.615 CE).

Lokasi Borong 5: Highsun Plaza (Yinjiang Lu,Guangzhou)

Highsun is property management company. At the moment they managed two shopping plaza namely Highsun Camera and Mobile Plaza and Highsun Fabric Plaza. The location of both plaza are at the scenery view of Pearl River at the end of Yinjiang Lu in Guangzhou.

While wholesale is the main attraction of business in Guangzhou, Highsun Group of Company has allocated a building for this purpose. A plaza cater for fabric like curtain, bedsheets, table cloth and home fabric is a place for home designer, business man as well as interior decorator to find cheap and affordable material. China Silk juga banyak terdapat di plaza Highsun ini.

Meanwhile for if you come to Guangzhou and forget to bring your camera or mobile, you can buy one at Highsun Camera and Mobile plaza located just behind the Fabric Plaza. From my observation, you can get original version of the mobile phone and camera here.

How to go there?

Metro Line 1 Martys Park . From the station taxi will take you about 7 minutes to arrive.

When is Chinese New Year 2012

When will be the Chinese New year for 2012? Why I am asking this? During the Chinese New Year business activity become slow. My advise to you, if you plan to go for shopping or product sourcing avoid this peak season of Chinese New Year. For example if 2012 Chinese New Year start on 23 of January 2012, the season start as early as 10 of January and end only after 2 weeks of the celebration ie around mid February.

So my advise is, if you plan to go there for product sourcing please post pone your trip.Maybe early March is the best time to start visiting China again for business purpose.

Chinese New Year 2012 will fall on 23 January 2012

Usahawan Islam Guangzhou

Berniaga ikut lunas Islam

Salima Ma mempunyai nama cina Ma Yu Lain, berkelulusan alam sekitar, sentiasa menjadi penyokong kuat suaminya.

Guangzhou: Per Capita GDP Exceeds US$10,000

In 2006 the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Guangzhou in south China's Guangdong Province grew 14.4 percent to make it the first mainland city to generate a per capita GDP greater than US$10,000.

China Business News has published an interview with Peng Peng, an official at the Guangzhou branch of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He said the city's GDP grew to 623.6 billion yuan in 2006, up from over 545 billion in 2005. The city has 7.0266 million permanent residents so the per-capita GDP now actually exceeds US$11,000.

Peng said per-capita GDP was generally considered a more reliable measure of economic development than GDP alone. The World Bank considers regions with a per capita GDP greater than US$10,000 to be developed.

But Peng also said the figure wasn't a completely accurate indication of economic development because it only accounts for residents with permanent homes. The city plans to lift the per capita GDP for all of the city's residents to more than US$10,000 by 2010.

Per capita GDP in Hong Kong and Taiwan surpassed US$10,000 in 1987 and 1992. The International Monetary Fund's GDP rankings for 2005 show 45 countries and regions have a per-capita GDP greater than US$10,000 dollars. Hong Kong and Taiwan ranked 23rd and 37th at $24,581 and $13,926 respectively. The mainland ranked 106th with US$1,703.

Guangzhou surpassed Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen in 2005 when its per capita GDP was US$8,500 compared to US$5457, $7600 and $7300 respectively in the other cities.

In a report released at the just-concluded party conference officials said the city would maintain the per capita GDP above $10,000 until 2010. They'll also focus on improving the quality of economic growth instead of the previous growth-above-all policy.

An insider from the local government revealed the city will focus on economic restructuring. It will introduce further reforms and work to alter the current model of growth to ease environmental pressures.

Beijing Lu

This is the Chinese´s re branding of Crocodile/Lacoste. As the Chinese always pronounce the alphabet R as rL, so Crocodile might become Clocodile. To add the Italian Moda Taste into the brand, they add the sound of CHLOE, MODE, MODEL to that original brand. Mixing all of them together make it CLIO CODDLE.

The brand has 3 boutique along the Beijing Lu.

The ancient road built by the Sung Dynasty.
